Responsibilities

The Corporate Responsibility department at Brasfield & Gorrie is adding an innovative and proven diversity and inclusion leader to help further develop and implement strategies to continue to grow a diverse workforce and champion inclusion in our company and industry.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

 

  • Works in partnership with the VP, Director of Corporate Responsibility, and the Diversity and Inclusion Executive Steering Committee to advance strategic diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Collaborates with Human Resources, as well as campus and industry recruiting teams, on effective strategies to recruit and retain diverse talent
  • Analyzes data and trends to inform recruiting and retention strategies
  • Responsible for helping advance relationships with historically black colleges and universities and other minority-serving institutions and programs to increase diversity in our student internship and co-op program
  • Assists with strategy to broaden company involvement with community and industry workforce development programs
  • Works in partnership with the corporate marketing and communications teams on proposal responses, corporate communications, and other materials to highlight our diversity and inclusion progress and strategy
  • Develops and implements strategy to recognize industry and cultural diversity celebrations such as Women In Construction Week, Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, etc.
  • Collaborates with the Learning and Development department to produce inclusive leadership training for employee development
  • Develops and manages resources and programs such as book studies, inclusive leadership webinars, and other events that encourage employees to grow as inclusive leaders
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, clients, external and industry partners

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Ten years of professional work experience with a minimum of three-five years working on corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Proven experience working within a team and in a corporate environment
  • Excellent data analytics and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; proven experience making impactful presentations and facilitating meetings
  • Proven experience establishing relationships and influencing change
  • Willingness to travel to various meetings, events, office, and jobsite locations
