Responsibilities

 

Brasfield & Gorrie, a recognized leader in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity for an Innovation and Operational Technology Specialist with an emphasis on tower crane planning and logistics to join our Innovation and Operational Technology Department. This department is dedicated to creatively bringing new or alternative perspectives to overcome difficulty or uncertainty throughout the Company. The team is made up of members who have a demonstrated business understanding to develop solutions relevant to business success at Brasfield & Gorrie. We are dedicated to producing a culture of continuous improvement where technologies are tested and verified before permanent implementation.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Plan and coordinate project-specific tower crane requirements
  • Build pricing specific to the project and tower crane
  • Analyze, process, communicate and present point cloud data to stakeholders
  • Communicate project needs and status
  • Manage project timelines and resources to align milestones with project priorities
  • Utilize technology and innovation to improve efficiency
  • Acquire and use company knowledge for effective job performance
  • Build and nurture relationships, both internally and externally
  • Creatively find solutions to technical difficulties

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture or Construction or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction industry
  • 3 years of experience working directly with tower cranes in the construction field
  • Proven ability to work in a hyper growth / start-up environment that is constantly evolving 
  • Experience with ESRI products
  • Experience in Modeling, BIM Processes, Prefabrication/Offsite
  • Experience in product design, research and development, and technology scouting
  • Proficient knowledge of software: Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, Autodesk, Inventor, SolidWorks, Adobe Suite
  • Flexible, self-managed and self-motivated with a problem solvers attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Willingness to travel overnight/weekly
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
