The Content Manager has the primary responsibility to manage and update Brasfield & Gorrie’s internal facing (employee) intranet knowledge base as it relates to how end users’ access and consume content. This includes responding to feedback for improvement to content as well as developing improved structure around content to allow for growth and expansion. This role is essential in the establishment and maintenance of an open, well-structured easy-to-use knowledge base that adheres to Brasfield & Gorrie’s marketing and branding styles and ensures quality and consistent information that advances the collective capabilities of Brasfield & Gorrie employees.


Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining web content management system as it relates to employee knowledge content
  • Developing style guidelines around employee knowledge content
  • Performing quality assurance checks and content audit schedule to ensure material is relevant, up-to-date, and single sourced (no duplications or conflicting information)
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to drive continual process improvements
  • Monitoring employee training events to ensure alignment with employee knowledge content
  • Establishing style and quality standards for all employee knowledge content, while adhering to Brasfield & Gorrie marketing styles and branding guidelines
  • Serving as liaison between end users, IT, improvement teams, and technical writer to plan, develop, and audit site content
  • Managing open change requests and employee feedback tool and reporting back to the requestor
  • Monitor site to ensure technology is functioning as needed to optimize end user experience
  • Troubleshoot content management system issues and report technical problems to IT support staff
  • Use site analytics to make recommendation for content
  • Attend process improvement events and capture current state, future state goals, workflows, and action plans

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Business, Communication, Marketing, or relevant field
  • Skilled in MS Office
  • Experience with content management and authoring tools 
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Comfortable troubleshooting, digging into software settings, and learning how our tools and systems work
  • Knack for asking he right questions, giving and receiving feedback, and spotting the little details others tend to miss
  • Able to understand target audiences’ needs and motivations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Creative thinker who seeks to take content from good to great
  • Displays respect in working with others and ability to create trusting relationships
  • Skilled in writing, proofreading, and editing
  • Excellent time management, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure with ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines
