Responsibilities

The Corporate Responsibility Specialist reports to the Corporate Responsibility Director to support company diversity inclusion initiatives. The role will focus on related event planning, corporate and operations support, department coordination, and the implementation of strategy to advance diversity and inclusion goals at Brasfield & Gorrie.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

 

  • Plan diversity and inclusion events, meetings, and trainings
  • Assist with developing diversity and inclusion educational programming for employees
  • Assist the Corporate Responsibility Director and the Corporate Communications team with diversity and inclusion communications
  • Support construction project needs related to supplier diversity
  • Track involvement and monitor success of company committees, divisions, and departments supporting diversity and inclusion efforts
  • Participate in and attend activities in the company and community related to diversity and inclusion
  • Stay informed of diversity and inclusion emerging trends and thought leadership
  • Administer the Corporate Responsibility budget, track expenses and process invoices
  • Support other initiatives and projects in the Corporate Responsibility department related to sustainability, charitable giving, and community relations as needed

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of five to seven years of professional work experience with some experience in diversity and inclusion
  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to diversity and inclusion progress
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and manages workload effectively
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including the ability to organize data using Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships
  • Ability to facilitate meetings
  • Ability to travel occasionally
