    Brasfield & Gorrie, a recognized leader in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity available for an entry level IT Security Analyst in Birmingham, AL.



    Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

    • Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
    • Maintain security monitoring tools and investigate alerts and anomalies
    • Monitor, report on, and correct the performance of network, system, and application security solutions to highlight areas of non-compliance
    • Inform the development of improved security practices and processes
    • Manage the periodic maintenance of security systems and applications to ensure new threats are identified and managed
    • Update, document, and create standard operating procedures and protocols
    • Conduct awareness training on information security standards, policies, and best practices
    • Monitor networks and systems for security incidents
    • Analyze, prioritize, and work with other teams to remediate monthly vulnerability scans

    Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience



    • Bachelor’s degree in a computer or security related field
    • 0-3 years of experience in the Information Technology field
    • Experience working with Azure security solutions preferred (Log Analytics, Cloud App Security, Defender ATP, etc.)
    • Experience working with scripting languages preferred (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills
    • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
    • Ability to work in a strong collaborative atmosphere
    • Ability to work well as a part of a team and independently
    • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed
