Responsibilities

The Application Developer will be part of an agile development team building line of business and enterprise software systems.  The team focuses on the Microsoft .NET development stack and related technologies (IIS, C#, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript/TypeScript).  The Application Developer will assist in all areas of the development process including User Interface, web development, API development, database, unit testing, QAQC, acceptance testing, and end user feedback.

  • Work and communicate effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist in collecting and documenting end user requirements.
  • Develop user stories and work breakdowns for later development.
  • Design\Develop\Unit Test application code.
  • Participate in peer review and collaborative discussions on design and related code.
  • Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering, strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of work experience in Information Systems or related environment preferred.
  • Certifications in Microsoft technologies, and\or Developer certifications is a plus.
  • Understanding of object oriented programming concepts and languages.
  • Familiarity with Web design and development languages (HTML,JavaScript,CSS)
  • Understanding of relational database design and querying concepts.
  • Bootstrap and Angular web technologies knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of Visual Studio IDE and Visual Studio Source Control is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET (C#) development languages is preferred.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies is preferred
  • Knowledge of testing \unit testing theory is a plus
